I developed and adapted an initial concept from the graphic designers that suspended native California wood species within the center of a stairwell at a new tech campus in Irvine, CA. The species were selected for visual intrigue, sustainability, weight, and span across California. I created renderings using species references to receive final creative buyoff. I then designed a visually minimal suspension system in conjunction with our lead of fabrication and aided in fabrication, finishing, and site installation of the sculpture.
